Hunter Elementary School 4th graders give back to the community at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Many children are taught random acts of kindness at a young age, and a 4th grade class from Hunter Elementary School visited Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Friday to embody that spirit.
The students created roughly 100 signs and posters expressing their gratitude and support for health care workers and patients at the hospital. This effort constitutes part one of their upcoming service projects.
Born and raised Fairbanksan teacher Jade Hajdukovich came up with the idea in hopes of teaching her students what it means to play a part in the community, while also teaching them the importance of giving back at such a young age.
We plan to have more on Monday to follow up with the Hunter Elementary School students as they continue to learn the gift of giving back.
