FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Alaska Goldpanners’ baseball season has almost begun, and on Saturday, June 4, Growden Park is hosting a day of live music in celebration.

The Sun Lit AK Music Festival is bringing in artists from around Alaska and the lower 48 for the occasion.

From noon until midnight, 10 acts are scheduled to perform, including Dan Kelly and the Matt Lewis Band.

The event is also expected to feature food trucks and players from the Goldpanners team.

According to event organizer Keenan Hollister, “The community has just been excited about having events again. COVID and everything kind of had everybody a little bit isolated, and we hadn’t had the big summer events like the Midnight Sun Run last year, and this year it’s happening, and they’re going to be here signing people up during our event, and hopefully our event is just a kickoff to the rest of the fun summer events in Fairbanks.”

General admission tickets are $50, with VIP and youth tickets also available.

All attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

More information can be found at the event’s Facebook Page.
