Structure Fire extinguished in South Fairbanks
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - At 1:21 p.m. in the afternoon on Thursday, July 14, a commercial structure fire was reported at 3207 International Street in Fairbanks.
University Fire Department personnel were the first to respond, followed by the Fairbanks, Chena Goldstream and Fort Wainwright Fire agencies.
The fire, which damaged one bay of a two bay shop building, was under control in 40 minutes.
One firefighter was injured in the effort, and was taken to the hospital as a matter of precaution.
According to the City of Fairbanks, the fire’s cause is currently under investigation.
