Scam Facebook post circulating nationwide
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The North Pole Police Department has received calls about a post that appears on one of the local For Sale Facebook pages in circulation in Interior Alaska.
While this post looks legit, it is a scam.
This image and the text included with it is a scam post that is currently circulating on different Facebook groups nationwide, according to North Pole Police.
If you enter the individual’s name “Tariq Husic” into the Facebook search bar you can view some of the multiple posts. It appears scammers are making small details about the story, while keeping the same person’s picture and name and then re-posting it.
North Pole Police encourages all community members to continue reporting suspicious and unsafe activity.
