FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - If today’s plans include visiting Denali National Park and the Visitor Center, you might want to wait until road conditions improve.
Due to extremely heavy snowfall overnight on Monday, Jan. 23, and very poor road conditions, the Denali National Park Visitor Center is closed on Tuesday, January 24. A winter weather advisory remains in effect and heavy snow is expected to continue through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the National Park, road crews will be working throughout the day to clear the snow so that we can safely reopen. About a foot of new snow is reported and it is still snowing.
