UPDATED: Law enforcement activity in Lakloey Drive and Isabelle Court area concludes
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - UDATED with new information 5:31 p.m.
Badger Road is open to through traffic.
AST responded to a complaint from a resident, in the Maude Boyle Dr. area, stating an adult male was on her porch crying and not wearing any shoes. When the troopers arrived, the man had already left the residence and was walking into traffic and attempting to flag down motorists.
According to a press release, the troopers caught up with the adult male and a foot pursuit began. The adult male pulled out a handgun and the troopers responded by firing their weapons. The adult male was treated on the scene for gunshot wounds and taken to a local hospital.
Troopers determined the subject was a fugitive and wanted for Escape in the Third Degree.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation is investigating this officer involved shooting. The names of the troopers that fired their weapons will be released after 72 hours per department policy.
The Alaska State Troopers say there is law enforcement activity in the area of Lakloey Drive and Isabelle Court.
They are asking the public to avoid this area. .A detour on Holmes Road exists for those wishing to travel to Fairbanks.
