Deteriorating road conditions cause cancellation of after school activities

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District (FNSBSD) sent a message out earlier today informing the public that all after school activities would be cancelled for today, Thursday, February 23, because of the heavy snowfall and worsening road conditions.

The bus routes would run as normal with possible delays because of the road conditions.

The school district administration is monitoring roads conditions and power outages and will communicate a decision if school is cancelled for tomorrow, Friday. At this time, FNSBSD says, families should assume school will be held as normal unless otherwise communicated.
