Department of Transportation Construction Career Day job fair
The career fair is Saturday, March 25 at 2720 Pickett Place
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - If you are looking for seasonal or full time employment and would like the chance to explore northern Alaska this might be the opportunity for you.
Due to the large demand for workers and a high number of vacancies, the Department of Transportation (DOT) is having a Construction Career Day on Saturday, March 25.
This recruitment fair will showcase construction and engineering trades. Some of the available positions include engineering technician, flagging, maintenance and operations.
The positions are mainly entry level and geared toward workers looking to get a foot in the door and gain on the job experience. Anyone 18 years or older with a valid Alaska driver’s license is encouraged to attend and apply.
DOT staff will be available to talk about upcoming summer projects. Job seekers will get a chance to meet some of the staff and have an opportunity to interview and fill out a job application.
The Construction Career Day fair will be held in the McKinley Building at 2720 Pickett Place in Fairbanks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
