MACS Transit temporarily closes bus stops on Aurora Drive in Fairbanks
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough’s MACS Transit System has temporarity closed down all bus stops on Aurora Drive while work continues to replace the bridge across the Noyes Slough.
The closure began Monday, March 27 and is expected to continue through the end of October.
It includes five stops on the Blue Line, and five on the Red Line.
In a press release, the borough recommended using stops on Danby Road and College Road as alternates.
On Danby, these stops are located at the Wembley Avenue intersection and at Randy Smith Middle School.
On College Road, the nearest stop is located at the Aurora Motel.
There is no pedestrian access across the Noyes Slough at Aurora Drive at this time.
