FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A shooting in North Pole Saturday night left one man dead and another in custody.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation reports that at 9:06 p.m. Saturday, Alaska State Troopers received a call reporting the incident.

Responding troopers found 52-year-old Aaron Ham deceased at his residence.

Investigators determined Ham was allegedly shot by 23-year-old Logan Bruce, a resident of North Pole.

Bruce was arrested and has been remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for Murder in the First Degree.

The investigation is ongoing, and Ham’s remains were sent to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for autopsy.

Next of kin have been notified.
