Free pop-up clinic at Ryan Middle School April 22-23
Remote Area Medical holding free pop clinic only this weekend, April 22-23.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Remote Area Medical (RAM), a notable non-profit, is bringing a two-day pop-up clinic to Fairbanks this weekend, April 22-23, at Ryan Middle School.
RAM provides free, pop-up clinics all around the nation. Their mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. Founded in 1985, RAM has treated more than 900,000 individuals and delivered more than $189.5 million worth of free healthcare services.
The clinic is open to anyone in the community regardless of income, background, or age. RAM will provide services such as dental, vision, and medical, all free of charge and without the requirement of I.D. Due to time constraints, patients should be prepared to choose between dental or vision services, according to a RAM press release.
Dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women’s health exams and general medical exams will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Medical services are offered, in addition to dental or vision services, free to every patient attending the clinic,
The patient parking lot will open on Friday night at 11:59 p.m. and clinic doors will open Saturday morning at 6 a.m. Additional information regarding clinic-opening processes and next steps will be provided in the Ryan Middle School parking lot.
