Fairbanks North Star Borough prepares for Senior Recognition Day

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough has announced that registration is open for Senior Recognition Day, a free event taking place May 11 at the Carlson Center.
The event is meant to honor the volunteerism, care-giving, and dedication of seniors 60 and older in the Fairbanks community.
Registration is available online until May 1, and there is room for the first 400 seniors who register to attend.
Attendees will experience an information fair, catered luncheon, and an awards ceremony.
The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The borough is looking for volunteers at the event.
