FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Updated: 5:01pm. Two AH-64 Apache helicopters from the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment at Fort Wainwright crashed today near Healy, Alaska, returning from a training flight according to a media release.

First responders are on the scene. The incident is under investigation and more information about the incident will be released when it becomes available.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Army Alaska said each helicopter carried two people but could not immediately provide any other information about the condition of those involved.
