Triple deaths in Fairbanks
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Three individuals were found dead at a residence in Fairbanks Sunday night.
According to a Fairbanks Police press release, the Fairbanks Emergency Communication Center received a call requesting a welfare check at a residence on McCarty Avenue at approximately 8:15 p.m. Sunday, May 14.
Responding officers found Linda and Wesley Dunbar, both age 64, and Nancy Dunbar, age 36, dead inside the residence. The press release states the three individuals “appeared to have been deceased for at least several weeks.”
At the scene, a suicide note was found, and next of kin have been notified.
Preliminary investigation indicates that all three were shot. Their remains will go to the Medical Examiners Office to determine the official cause of death.
