Amy Pilon signs NLI to Peninsula College to play Basketball
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -Amy Pilon has signed her national letter of intent to play basketball for Peninsula College next fall.
The Pirates women’s basketball team had an amazing year, finishing twelve and two and clinching the region championship. They play in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) and are located in Port Angeles, Washington.
We spoke to Pilon about her thoughts on joining the Pirates basketball program.
“Well, I was mainly just looking for a place that wasn’t too different than Fairbanks. I didn’t want somewhere that was like super big or busy, but I just kind of wanted to stay a little bit closer. I’m like a ferry ride and a three hour flight from home, which is as close as you can get when you’re from Fairbanks, so,” said Pilon
Pilon is currently undecided in what she plans to study, but is interested in sports medicine or something with kids, and plans to choose once she gets on campus.
