Gatorade Player of the Year Erhart signs NLI
Stewart Erhart commits to Fort Lewis College
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - We finally get the answer to the question from the two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, Stewart Erhart, as he has finally made the decision of who he’s committing too. Erhart has decided to sign his NLI and commit to the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks to play basketball this fall.
The Skyhawks basketball program dominated last year with twenty nine wins and four losses, and they had nineteen wins and three losses in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. This season also included a deep postseason push for a national title. Skyhawks head coach, Bob Pietrack, was also named the South-Central Region Coach of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
We spoke to Erhart about his thoughts about joining such a solid team.
“I just wanted to be a part of a winning program, like how I’ve been here at West Valley, and that just gets me better and rubs off that winning mentality, and that’s what I wanted to be a part of and that’s what I was looking for when I was looking to pick a school I wanted to go to, and the winning like culture of it has rubbed off, and I feel like I’m trying to be a winner, so yeah,” said Erhart.
Erhart’s plan is to study something along the line of sports sciences or business management.
