FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - While the opening for Fairbanks’ popular park was this past Memorial Day weekend, one attraction remained closed down until further notice.
The popular train that takes many visitors for a ride around the park had to undergo some repairs. This well liked attraction was expected to be completed by the opening weekend, but unfortunately will take a little while longer to fix.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation (FNSB Parks and Rec.) wants to ensure safety for all guests who ride the train and apologizes for the disappointing news. They extended their thanks to the community for patience and understanding while the repairs on the train are completed.
In the meantime there is plenty to see and do and everyone is invited to visit the other vendors and attractions at the park.
