FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Alaska Department of Fish and Game released guidelines for dip-net fishing in the Copper River on Wednesday, June 7.

The Chitina Subdistrict Personal Use Salmon Fishery, located on the Copper River near Chitina , will be opening from June 15 through 18.

According to a press release, this year’s schedule was determined by migratory timing and harvest rates.

The new regulations include a limit of one king salmon per household.

Those who fish must also possess both the Chitina personal use permit and a resident fishing license.
