KTVF Gone Fishing Report for June 15, 2023

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -Now that the days are longer and warmer, the time to get your fishing gear out and catch some fish is now. Here’s a brief look around the state to see where the fish are at.

Matanuska Valley - Solid for King Salmon fishing, Vibrax Spinners and Flashtrap Spinners are the way to go for reeling them in

Kenai River - Rainbow Trout are looking great and Sockeye Salmon fishing is open for business. King Salmon are on a catch-and-release order.

Prince William Sound - Sockeye Salmon are starting make there appearance, and Halibut fishing is looking good but is better farther out in areas like the Strawberry Channel.

Rivers and Lakes - Artic Grayling are settling into their summer feeding habitats and Lake Trout are good close to shore
