FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -Now that the days are longer and warmer, the time to get your fishing gear out and catch some fish is now. Here’s a brief look around the state to see where the fish are at.

Matanuska Valley - Sockeye, Pinks, Chum, Coho, and Kings are flowing in the waters right now.

Kenai River - The water is high and clear, the Sock eye fish is slow but worth the time. Dip netting is open twenty four hours a day.

Prince William Sound - Chinooks are swarming right now, if your looking for trout stick to the rivers and creeks.

Rivers and Lakes - King salmon fishing has been closed by emergency order to protect spawning. Trout fishing is still open for bussiness.
