Pet of the Week is Taylor

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - For this week’s Pet of the Week spotlight we met Taylor, a sweet and cuddly 9-month-old pitbull mix. She originally came to the Fairbanks Animal Shelter as a stray, and is now looking for that perfect place to call home.

At the shelter she has initially been a bit shy, but comes around quickly in warming up to new people. She may be looking for a patient owner who is willing to help her conquer her fears.

Taylor has done an excellent job keeping her kennel clean and accident-free, indicating that she may already be housebroken. The shelter does encourage her owners to bring her to a basic obedience class to continue working on her manners.

It is not known if Taylor has any experience with other animals, but she has seemed quite friendly toward her doggy neighbors at the shelter. If you do plan on introducing her to other animal friends, just make sure you do so in a slow, safe and controlled environment.
