Pet of the Week: Amber

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Meet Amber. She is a 9-month-old pitbull mix, and is super sweet. Amber came to the Fairbanks Animal Shelter as a stray along with her friend Ebony, and they are both now looking for those perfect new places to call home.

Since she was a stray the shelter does not have any prior history on her. At the shelter she has been super people friendly. She has done a great job at keeping her kennel clean, indicating that she may already be housebroken.

She was pretty shy about walking on a leash at first, but has definitely gained her confidence since being at the shelter. They do not know if she has lived with other animals so please ensure that you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends.
