FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - With tips submitted to the Alaska State Troopers (AST) and assistance from the Technical Crimes Unit in Anchorage, arrests were made in the hit-and-run case that killed 47-year-old John Emerick on the Alaska Highway near Delta Junction in August.

Based on the information received, troopers from Delta Junction made contact with 2 suspects at their home in Delta. At the residence they found a pickup truck with the hood and grill remove, along with other parts of the vehicle inside a locked shed. The truck was towed from the property and further evidence confirmed this was the vehicle that was involved in the crash that killed Emerick, according to the trooper dispatch report.

32-year-old Chelsie Erickson and 60-year-old Janell Erickson were arrested and taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Facility.

Chelsie is charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Failure to Render Aide, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence. Janell is charged with Tampering with Evidence.
