KTVF Road Conditions Report for Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Be prepared for winter driving conditions and remember to drive with your headlights on.

Richardson Highway: Temporary road closure at the GARS intersection starts Friday, Oct. 20 with an anticipated reopening on Sunday, Oct. 22.  Paving on the north bound overpass lane on the Rich. Hwy. is to be completed soon and ready for commuters to travel on. The highway is dry in spots, and ice patches in spots.

Steese Highway: If you are traveling the Steese, Elliott, or Dalton Hwy. reduced visibility to 1/2 mile is possible with blowing snow and snow drifting onto the highway.

Parks Highway: Snow on the road with icy patches. Ice and slippery conditions on bridges and overpasses.
