At this time of year you should be prepared for winter driving conditions on all roads in Interior Alaska. Be sure to drive with your lights on and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.

Richardson Highway: The Rich is in fair condition, but watch for icy patches and possibly snow on the road. There may be ice on bridges and overpasses. Drive with your headlights on and be prepared for winter driving.

Parks Highway: Expect icy patches, packed and plowed snow, ice on bridges and overpasses. Watch for plow trucks and be prepared for winter driving.

Steese Highway: Drivers can expect icy patches with packed and plowed snow on the roadway and ice on bridges and overpasses. Look out for snow removal equipment on the road and remember to stay back at least two hundred feet from the plows.
