Pet of the Week: Missy
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - If you have been looking for something to brighten up your winter days, meet Missy, the Pet of the Week.
Missy is a one-year-old Husky-Beagle mix, with a striking combination of one brown eye and one blue eye. She has been at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter since October 16.
The staff says Missy is very sweet and energetic and ready to look for a perfect new home. She was described as having a good start to life. She is kennel trained and housebroken and confident. She also knows a few basic commands, including ‘sit’ and shaking hands ... or, paws!
Missy does not have any prior history with children or young animals, so as always it is important to do appropriate introductions with any new friends.
This young dog is looking for an owner to continue working with her and provide her with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Since she is a Husky-Beagle mix she is quite vocal, which is something her next owner should be aware of.
If you are interested in meeting Missy or any of her other friends at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter, please give them a call at (907) 459-1451.
