KTVF Road Conditions Report for Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Travel on the Richardson, Steese, and Park Highways is hazardous. Be prepared for difficult winter driving conditions.
There is snow and plowed snow on the road surfaces areas with an ice glaze and icy patches. Bridges and overpasses can be especially icy.
Extra caution is urged if traveling to Anchorage on the Parks Highway especially around mile marker 160. Snow with drifts up to 3 feet were reported on the highway near Healy on Thursday, Nov 16.
Milepost 349 to Old Nenana Highway. Driving is difficult with black ice, icy patches and packed snow. Visibility is reduced with resuspended snow dust.
Steese Highway from the Richardson Highway to milepost 17. Driving is difficult with black ice, icy patches and packed snow. Visibility is reduced with resuspended snow dust.
As always for this time of year, drive with your headlights on, reduce your speed, give plenty of space between you and the vehicles in front of you, and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
