Julie Swisher is a weather anchor for CBS News 13 and has been a part of the team since 2018. Since then she has also worked as a multi-media journalist covering stories from health to fire, and entertainment in the Fairbanks community among other stories. Prior to working as a Weather Anchor, she has worked as a Wildland Fire Fighter and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She grew up in North Pole, Alaska and is a “Sourdough” Alaskan. She enjoys reporting on the important events in the weather as well as in the community she lives in. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two children, gardening, skiing, and cooking.
