A police officer was killed and another was seriously injured when their cruiser was struck by a car speeding through a red light while running from a traffic stop.

An ex-city official, who was allegedly drunk the night of the crash, is facing multiple charges.

The trampoline was not damaged.

Police in Connecticut said a father was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit – all while his young son was in the back seat.

The child’s father turned himself in to the police Wednesday on an active arrest warrant.
