Nik Speliopoulos

Nik Speliopoulos is a Minnesota transplant. He grew up in a town called Brainerd, Minnesota, and attended college sixty miles away from home at Saint Cloud State University (SCSU). Nik has been a sports fan all of his life and knew he wanted to keep that as a focal point in his career when he decided to major in broadcast journalism at SCSU. One of the sports he has followed most extensively in college was SCSU's Division-I hockey program. In other capacities, Nik has had the opportunity to work for CBS Sports Network for Super Bowl LII and TNT during the 2019 NCAA Basketball Final Four. He enjoys covering any sport during any season.

When asked about moving 2,300 miles away from home right after college he said, "I am excited to take this opportunity, and I want to make the most of it. It was comfortable for me to go to college only an hour away from home, but I wanted to challenge myself not only in the work world, but also other facets of my life as well. I cannot wait to learn about sports teams around the interior portion of Alaska as well as getting to learn and experience a new city and its community.”
