While we're on the subject of mushing, the YQ300, the 300 mile edition of the Yukon Quest, found it's champion.

Ben Good won the race by coming into the Central Finish line late last night. Good finished the Race from Fairbanks to Central in 2 days, five hours and 43 minutes.

This is the first time he has won that race. Runner-up Joanna Jagow finished just two minutes later while Chase Tingle took third place 10 hours LATER.

All but four mushers in this year's YQ 300 have now crossed the finish line.

There was a smaller field for the 300 this year as the race started with 17 mushers after 7 withdrew before the start.

Five more withdrew during the race, including Ellen King who had to receive medical attention after accidentally drinking fuel, which was being stored in an empty water bottle.

King was discharged from the Hospital and has returned home in good health.
