Alaskan boat competition uses only duct tape and cardboard
Its common belief in Alaska that duct tape can fix just about anything. Saturday, people constructed boats out of it. It's the first annual cardboard boat regatta held at Tanana Lakes.
Families and friends constructed boats made out of cardboard and duct tape. They were allowed a maximum of six people per group, and at least two people had to get in the boat.
Teams were judged by their boat's aesthetics and construction. They had the 'Titanic award' for most spectacular sinking and the 'Vogue award' for best looking.
