Eielson hosted Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, visitor from Pentagon
Last week Eielson Air Force Base had a visitor from the Pentagon, Kaleath O. Wright, the senior enlisted representative for the Air Force.
"My job is to look after and take care of all of the enlisted airmen that we have in the Air Force, so lots of engagement, a mix of coaching, consulting, training, things of that nature," said Wright.
Part of Wright's visit was to see what Eielson does during their Red Flag-Alaska exercises. "I got to see just some snippets of what we do from an operational standpoint, exercise wise, and some other things that they do here at Eielson, but more importantly I got to spend a lot of time with some really sharp young professionals that have embraced this community, enjoy being here, and represent our Air Force extremely well," said Wright.
Wright says he believes part of their jobs as airmen is to be good ambassadors for the Air Force. "This community and so many of our communities where we have Air Force bases, extremely supportive of our airmen and all the programs, our families, and it's good for all of us to give back," said Wright.
He threw the first pitch at the Goldpanner's Military Appreciation Night last Wednesday night.
