Princess Anna and Queen Elsa will be taking the stage in the Fairbanks Academy of Children’s Theatre’s production of Disney’s Frozen.
Taking place in the mythical country of Arendelle, Frozen depicts two sisters whose relationship is challenged by fear, loss, and an eternal winter.
Queen Elsa's fear of her powers keeps her trapped in her castle and her mind, while fearless, but naive, Anna struggles to understand why her sister keeps pushing her away, especially after the loss of their parents.
With the cast of 28 kids ranging from 6 to 16 years old, this is the second full stage production for the Fairbanks Academy of Children's Theatre. At 14 years old, Zoe (ZOE-EE) Foshee (FOH-SHEE) is no stranger to the stage. She says playing Queen Elsa is no easy task.
"I think it’s really hard to get Elsa's personality across, because she is a very withdrawn character throughout the show, but later in the show she opens up and becomes more true about herself, so it's hard doing the contrast from the closed off person in the beginning to the more open character in the end, with making it still seem like the same character and the same person,” said Foshee.
Frozen will be at the DeWilde Theater in West Valley on Friday, October 18th. More information on times and tickets prices can be found at
