Lieutenant Foster offers safety advice for slick road conditions
With temperatures dropping, rain increasing, and forecasts for snow coming in... it's time to start getting back into winter driving habits.
We interviewed Lieutenant Greg Foster of the Fairbanks Police Department about tips to stay safe on the roads this winter.
Foster suggested leaving earlier, and planning ahead to avoid the temptation to speed to work.
He also suggested that car windows should be completely cleared every morning for complete visibility and to not leave snow on the top of the car because it could fall down and obstruct vision while driving
Quoted Foster: "Slow down, leave a lot of space between you and the vehicle in front of you, turn on your headlights, activate your wipers if it's snowing or raining all these basic winter driving techniques just to make you safer."
