Here's what Kimberly Imbert, Animal Shelter Operations Supervisor with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

"Hi I'm Kimberly and this weeks 'Pet of the Week' is shared with Athena and Loki. They were brought to the shelter because unfortunately their owner passed away.

They are really sweet cats. They are a little on the shy side. They get along exceptionally well. They are both 3-years-old and they are probably siblings.

Athena and Loki are said to be good with children, other cats and dogs. They use their litter box perfectly well.

In their previous home these cats spent most of their time on the couch hanging out with their owner. They have been really sweet and friendly at the shelter... just a little nervous because it can be a scary place for shy animals.

Athena and Loki would like to go to a home together but they don't have to go to a home together. Because they are so bonded they probably would do a lot better if they were able to go to a home together. Possibly just have a smaller dog or a not scary dog with cats in their new home.

Athena and Loki have longer hair so they would benefit from being brushed in their new home regularly. And they would love to have cat trees and toys and all the good cat life things.

Athena and Loki have other cat friends, lots of dog friends and some small animals friends looking for loving homes as well."
