Alaska State Troopers shut down a section of downtown Fairbanks Monday afternoon as they served a warrant for Gareth Lolnitz.

Troopers sent out a Nixle at 1:06 p.m. asking people to avoid First Street and Dunkel Street for police activity in the area. According to AST’s investigator Al Bell, they arrested Lolnitz in connection with a homicide that left Clayton Nelson dead on December 13th.

Brian Talbott has already been arrested and charged with first degree murder for the same incident.

As of publishing time there is no further information about Lolnitz's arrest, or what he was charged with.
