Filing deadlines are over for Alaskans wishing to represent their state or their district in U.S. and state political positions. Here are some of the names of those who will end up representing the Alaskan interior.

For the United States Senate, incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan will contend with nonpartisan nominees Al Gross, and Chris Cumings, Democrat Edgar Blatchford, and Alaskan Independence Party's John Howe.

Incumbent Republican Congressman Don Young will see grabs for his seat being made by fellow Republicans John Nelson, and Jer Heikes, nonpartisan Alyse Galvin, and Democrats Ray Sean Tugatuk and Bill Hibler.

For the interior's state Senate District B, incumbent Republican Senator John Coghill is pitted against fellow Republican Robert Myers Jr.

House District 1, representing Fairbanks, will see incumbent Republican Bart LeBon against Democrats Christopher Quist and Bennie Colbert.

House District 2's incumbent republican Steve Thompson is pitted against Republican Dave Selle and Democrat Jeremiah Youmans.

Republican Mike Prax, who was appointed after Representative Tammie Wilson vacated her seat, will face no contenders.

In House District 4, Democratic Incumbent Grier Hopkins faces Republican Keith Kurber.

Democrat Adam Wool, in House District 5, will see fellow Democrat Taryn Hughes and Republican Kevin McKinley attempt to unseat him.

Finally, Republicans Julie Morris, Ryan Smith, and Mike Cronk, and Democrat Julie Hnilicka will contend for Healy's House District Seat 6.
