The Alaska State Troopers are seeking information on a dead moose that was found on the bank of the Tanana River behind the North Pole High School.

The troopers removed the head of the moose to retrieve the bullet used to kill the animal. They believe the moose was shot sometime between August 30, 2019 and May 1, 2020. The animal was shot between the right eye and base of the ear.

Troopers are asking anyone with information about the killing to contact them at 451-5100. They say complaints can remain anonymous.
