The Lathrop girls made a statement in their 50-25 win over the 2019 state runner-ups with a fast paced defense. The Malemutes got numerous steals, and they led 18-4 at halftime.

They were led by TT Tagovailoa's 20 points as she was relentless on the fast break, and locked down Bartlett on defense. The starting lineup of TT, Ella Roberts, Lianna Tuck, Tristian Martin and Torrin Johnson-Oates showed the state they have a shot at making some noise in Alaska.

The next time Lathrop hits the court they will be hosting the Joe T Classic next week when they host the Barrow Whalers, Sitka Wolves and the Monroe Catholic Rams.
