Multiple Alaskan grapplers compete at USA Wrestling Tournament

Last week, several Alaskan wrestlers traveled to Fargo, North Dakota to compete in the USA Wrestling National Tournament. Four grapplers from the Interior went on to place in the tourney. Debranna Bealer, an incoming sophomore at Eielson, placed 5th in the 200 lb. division, while Andrew Dalrymple also placed fifth, in the 100 lb. weight class. Jeremy Bockert, out of the Student Wrestler Developmental Program at the Interior Grappling Association, placed bronze in the 106-pound division. Placing 1st overall in her division was McKenzie Cook, a McKendree University commit, in the 144 lb. class.

Other Alaskans placing at the tournament include South Anchorage wrestlers Aeyden Concepcion and Jacob Anderson placing sixth and second in their class respectively. Wasilla High School's Colton Lindquist went on to place fourth.

Overall, four of the seven All-Americans came from local Interior Grappling Association.
