North Pole wrestling edges West Valley

The Dual meet between the West Valley and North Pole Wrestling teams, which was scheduled for Wednesday, took place last night.

North Pole was able to edge out the Wolfpack in the one, winning 39-34.

The Patriots earned five wins by fall, 1 by decision and 1 by forfeit.

Kyle Stolz won the 145 pound class by fall, while the Pats also earned falls from Sebastian Benefield in the 130, Darinn Peterson in the 135, Henry Massey in the 215, and Brock Weatherspoon in the 285.

Macara Kobernuss won the 112 pound class for the Patriots by decision.

The Wolfpack earned four victories of their own in the meet, thanks to a pair of falls and decisions.

Wyatt Baise and Ian Arnold won the 160 and 171 pound weight classes by fall.

Kai Clein and Bradley James earned the Decision wins for West Valley.

Both of these teams will be competing in the West Valley Red and Gold Tournament tonight and tomorrow at West Valley High School.
