West Valley and Lathrop split in MAC action
Damarcus Davis set up Judah Ward for this impressive off the back board dunk en route to West Valley's 69-47 victory.
"Well, it was a sloppy win, I feel like we have way more potential, but it was still a good win," said Davis. "It was a good win because we play them like four more times, and we set the tone as winning and we try to put a little bit of fear in their eyes. He was calling for it, and I already got mine in so let me get him right for his first one, so yeah it was good."
Lathrop had a tough time against the Wolfpack's length, but did get 16 from Jhon Rones. Both teams were going at it, with multiple technicals and fouls dished out.
Both teams now prepare for the West Valley Invitational with the Kodiak Bears and the Palmer Moose.
Lathrop forced turnover after turnover en route to a 69-42 win over their crosstown rivals. Four players in double figures for Lathrop in the girls game, led by Tristan Martin's 15 and TT Tagovailoa's 14. The Malemutes jumped out to a 21-8 lead after the first quarter, which was enough cushion for the purple and gold to coast to victory, and remain undefeated against Alaskan Schools.
