Our two cross-town rivals highlighted the Soccer action here in the Interior last night.

The West Valley Wolfpack were able to sweep the Lathrop Malemutes, starting with a 1-0 win in the girls game.

Jasmin LoRee knocked in the lone goal of the game to secure the win over their Railbelt Conference Foes.

The Wolfpack Girls are now 6-1-1 overall this year and sit at third place in the Conference.

The Lathrop girls fall now to 0-5-1.

The Boys game took place immediately after and the Pack once again shut out the Malemutes, this time winning 4-0.

Seth Thomas led the Wolfpack in scoring, registering two goals to account for half of the team's scores.

Goalkeeper Kristaps Bareika secured the shutout and the victory in goal.

This win was huge for the Wolfpack.

They are now 11-0-1 overall and have officially clinched a spot in the Division 1 State Championships down in Anchorage at the end of the month.

Next up for these two teams, West Valley will host Wasilla tomorrow while Lathrop will play Colony.
